Pricing — How Billing Works on CaMeL Hub
CaMeL Hub bills by actual usage. Most models are metered per token; a few are billed per call. You can fund your account with one-time top-up credit, a monthly subscription plan, or both — exact prices for every model are always visible on the Models page before you spend anything.
Per-Token Billing (Most Models)
Chat, completion, and most other text models are billed per 1,000,000 (1M) tokens. Input tokens (what you send) and output tokens (what the model generates) are priced separately — output is typically more expensive than input, and the exact ratio varies by model.
Prices are shown per model on the Models page and update automatically as vendors change theirs, so nothing on this page is a fixed number.
Per-Call Billing (Image & Some Specialty Models)
A handful of models — mainly image generation — don't fit a token meter well, so they're billed a flat price per successful call instead. The per-call price for each of those models is listed on its model page.
Top-Up Credit vs. Subscription Plans
Top-up credit is a one-time purchase you draw down as you use the API — good for irregular or unpredictable usage.
Subscription plans charge a fixed monthly price for a recurring quota that resets on a cycle, which can be more cost-effective if your usage is steady. Both funding modes work through the same API key, and some accounts use a subscription as the primary source with top-up credit as overflow.
Plan & Group Rates
Different plans and account tiers may apply different rate multipliers to the same underlying model — for example, a subscription plan can include a discount versus the pay-as-you-go rate. Whatever applies to your account is reflected in the price shown to you in the console and on the Models page before you send a request, so you never have to guess.
Local Payment Methods
You can fund your account with Alipay, WeChat Pay, or a major international card — no need for a foreign bank account or currency conversion on your end.

Where can I see the exact price for a model?
Every model has its own page with current input/output (or per-call) pricing — start from the Models page and pick the one you're using.
What happens when my top-up balance runs out?
Requests billed against your balance will stop succeeding once it's exhausted; top up again from the console to resume. If you also hold a subscription plan, its quota is used according to your account's funding order.
Can I switch between top-up and a subscription plan?
Yes — you can hold both at the same time, subscribe or cancel a plan from the console, and top up credit independently whenever you like.
Do prices ever change?
Yes, since we pass through vendor pricing changes. The Models page always reflects current prices — treat any number quoted elsewhere as informational only.
How do I get an invoice or receipt?
Open a ticket from the console with your order details and our team will help with billing documentation.
